Hindu : 3 May - Lead : America's politics of convenience

God Bless America is no longer a style statement for the super power. It turns out that the same attitude of the US in interfering in other countries foreign affairs had brought only shame and insults with dangerous consequences. It is known fact that September 11 2001, though was a wake up call, had been a direct attack on the US by talibans for their suppression in Afghanistan, however it was the Same country which helped these talibans to go against the government with heavy arms and artillery supply. U.S should have been more careful even after a shocking event like Sep'11. Instead, U.S had chose to link up terrorism to a minority group and in the name of home land security breached all codes of moral humanity. This takes us to the latest bombing incident in Boston. Without any doubt, the first victims of investigation were Muslims and Sikhs. It's this attitude and prejudice of the U.S which had made lives of minority groups in the U.S miserable and not to mention derogatory.

But an interesting fact came into light once the FBI caught prime victims, one of whom is already dead and the other wounded and getting treated in a hospital. It was found that the attack was from a small country from Russia; Chechnya. This was in response to U.S's interference in Chechnya to protest and fund the terrorists of that country to attack its government through extremist ways. Its history written all over again, u help a terrorist group and they come back putting a hole in your own skull. Article also presents an interesting point that U.S is unnecessarily putting in too much lime light on the so called 'Terrorism" when it should actually concentrate is on its internal  and most severe problem of Maniac gun shootings. We wonder why U.S doesn't call it terrorism instead takes them to trial calling them as 'disturbed individuals'. It's been shown that every year thousands of people die in America due to gun shoots either in a mad shoot out or in a  regular theft and mugging. Article suggests that America should first concentrate in bringing stringent rules for those who apply for personal gun licenses with a thorough background check especially their mental state. It ends with a mockery that one should first clean his own mess before lending a broomstick to the neighbor.
