Hindu : 29 Mar - Editorial : Motion or Emotion in TamizhNadu

So we see a lot of articles these days about the protest from the youth in Tamil Nadu over violation of human rights in Srilanka against Local Tamils. Some support the movement and some say its sheer waste of time but few of them throw some light on the ill effects or possible outcomes for such movements. here is one article which tries to go to the root of such a movement and explore the intentions behind such protests. What we see clearly is the political parties trying to please its people by showing their concern for tamils of neighbour country. What people in Tamil Nadu going through is an emotional pain of nativity. Whats happening in Sri Lanka is indeed very unfortunate. Most of the refugees don't even have a job for a living, a shelter to live safely or even food to survive. It's true that international intervention is gravely needed for Srilanka's crisis to come to an end but if India succumbs to the demands of Tamilnadu to go against Sri Lanka, according to the Author, is a mistake which would uproot the path which India had been relying on from the beginning. This is because that India taking such a step will only damage the relation with Sri Lanka at all levels.

Authors also says that violence and separate country will not be a final solution and more over that such partition will only cause more pain for the localites through displacement and booder intrusion. Infact Author feels that India should continue to maintain a good relation with its neghboring Island however advice the presidency of Srilanka to maintain peace with the effected area. Democracy followed by election should be the first step in winning the confidence of the localites. Though what authoer suggests is highly impractical, One should keep in mind that a trail in an international court should be done against war crimes of Srilanka in 2009 as circumstancial evidence clearly exists. Authors ends the note with a hope that peace will soon restore and hopes that the native tamilians will somehow feel safe once again in thier own country.
