First of all How many such groups have formed till now and whats the purpose behind the collaboration. Thats something out of my own reach. And this exactly what the Author was trying to explain in this article where he takes BRICS meet as a good example. BRICS is a group of developing countries formed together, well to discuss matters which would eventually improve their country's present condition. South Africa is the newest of the group and also the host for the next BRICS conference so Author infers that South Africa has a lot to contribute and gain from such conference as It is now being the host of many such conferences. Brazil, Russia India and China being the other members of the group. Coming back to real purpose behind forming such groups, first we have G-8 countries which mostly consists of the super power nations and similar groups and India is a part of such notable groups and BRICS initially formed to be a group of developing nations but one could point out on why some countries were ruled out of such groups like Indonesia which are developing at a swift rate. Author explains that the reason why BRICS has those specific countries in it because of the Quantum of population, economy and other key statistics it shard with the rest of the world. So what will happened when such conferences happen? Will there be any crucial talk on economics and politics or will it just be a tea for representing countries diplomats? Authors answers with a kind gesture that conferences like this provide a unique opportunity for countries, which share similar economic and political conditions back home, on improving their relations with each other and cites India and China relations as an example.
Author also takes few more examples on how other group countries discuss on terrorism, globalization environment changes and industrial growth. Here he brings out India's contribution and its expectation from such conferences. He suggests that India should contribute more so that it can play a major power in future since India is already trying to enter into few big groups. Not only contribute India should gain from such groups in making its goal clear to drive into the direction of development.Author hopes that BRICS would play a key role in India's journey to achieve a membership for global rule.
