Hindu : 26 Apr - Editorial : Debate, not disrupt

Parliament is a place where people's representatives talk, debate and resolve prime issues which can positively stabilize our country. But as seen in live television over and over again, It has become custom for the parties to play the blame game wasting lot of time and public money ending in an utter disrupt leaving chronic issues to time saying time would heal everything. This article talks on how such behavior from both the opposition and the ruling is degrading the respect of parliament and questioning the very purpose of holding sessions. Giving examples of how the winter sessions got washed in the constant argument of who to name responsible for the scams of Coalgate, 2G and more which are of serious threat to our country's one sided economy. And every time oppositions demands has been to demand Prime Minister's resignation.

Article suggests that one of the main reason for such disrupt is because of vast number of issues,  opposition had to handle against our ruling government. Though there are so many strong evidences which directly link Prime Minister's involvement in decisions taken for 2G allocation, opposition only cribs more on the loyalty of Prime Minister instead of demanding a continual investigation from CBI which the government is voluntarily interfering in. Its a know fact that opposition itself is facing so many problems internally with Modi vs the rest issues, but in parliament its the opposition's right to demand justice for all the scams done instead of going personal over the leaders who are involved. With the speaker making it very clear that he would expect more of a debate from the representative rather than violent outbursts this time, article ends with a hope that this time parliament will have some logical conclusions to long and unanswered questions of corruption and eventually record a higher percentage of working hours in the parliament.
