Hindu : 3 Apr - Editorial : Right to Food.

It is a satirical article on how a food security Bill was passed on 2013 claiming that India is a vast land of abundant though the irony being that a large population die every day due to malnutrition and hunger. It is very seen that soon Right to Food will be formed as a legislature and the recent food bill supports that claim.

Article then give details of key points of the bill. Firstly that food shall be distributed to all families who have women bearing a child or women with an ailment. Though there was a proposal that an exception be made to those families which have women with more than two children, it was a sensible dropped for obvious reasons. then there was a suggestion  that Food distribution could be done as per Universal Public Distribution Scheme where all familes will be given food through ration which fall below poverty line.i Article also talks on this scheme was successfully implemented in Chandigarh and hopes that central government takes this point seriously even though Tamil Nadu doesn't want to fall into the category of Universal PDS.

Author finally ends the article saying that instead of distributing food to the selective few, government should strictly follow distributing to those who are need irrespective of gender which incluces destitutes, old and homeless people. As that would actually solve the problem of deatha due to hunger.
